Wesley (Phillip) Averette was saved in June of 1978 and began preaching in october of 1979
Delores Ann McKee was saved in April of 1976 and began preaching in 1977
They met in a revival service in 1978. The LORD brought them together and they began their ministry as soon as they were married on Oct. 8, 1980. They were busy in the evangelistic field fron the day they were married, traveling wherever the LORD opened a door. They received an invitation to pastor a Church in Newport News, VA. in 1981,ministering in the slums near a Naval shipyard as well as a radio broadcast in Smithfield,VA. and Clanton, AL. They worked in VA. for 7 months then returned to the Evangelistic field in over 17 states.
They felt a burden to found a Church in Their hometown of Jemison, AL. They rented a small 20x30 building in Nov. 1984 and began holding services. They labored there in Jemison for 17 years during which time they continued to do evangelical work, radio ministry, ministering in campmeetings throughout the southeast and doing missionary work in Haiti and Mexico. While pastoring in Jemison, they hosted Fall Campmeetings, found a Christian school and a new Sanctuary. In November of 2001, they resigned the Church but continued to do Evangelical and work.
In the summer of 2004,Phillip and Delores moved to Athens TN. In Feb. 2009 they leased a building in Niota Tn. and founded the Church of Niota. Services began in May of 2009. The Pastors are in great expectation for a powerful move of GOD in this area and to see Souls added to the Kingdom!
